D DAY NORMANDY LANDINGS
On June 6 1944 during World War 2, landing craft appeared on the beaches of Normandy. The code name for these landings was Operation Overlord, soldiers waded from landing craft onto beaches, beaches named as a part of the campaign, Juno,Omaha and Sword.

Many a hero was created during that campaign; museums reflect and remember the campaign with maps and artefacts. D Day in Normandy will never be forgotten.
